This isn't a brag, it can't be classified a beat and it's also not anything to do with variance. But seeing as there is nowhere specifically for 'I played this like a prick' I'll post here anyway.

Background – This is from Saturday night, my housemates invited a bunch of friends over but I had qualified for a satellite earlier in the week before I knew. The satellite was a $90 1R and was for entry to the 888 superstack in London worth $800. Wasn't massively fussed about the $90 entry but really wanted the ticket so I decided I would play, though of course once everyone turned up I was drinking too. Tourney started off pretty well, chipped up nicely at the start and as I got more chips and more drunk I got more cocky. Nearing the bubble I refused to let other people win a pot, anytime I got 3bet I would insta 4bet and then barrel until they folded. In the chat I kept typing “I AM THE BOSS”, I wrote “WHEN I BET YOU DON'T CALL, GOT IT?” “I'M OUT, YOU CAN CALL”. To me and my friends this was hilarious, to everyone else I was a ****.

My friends then went out to the pub, I assured them I shouldn't be long and would soon join them. We got to the last 8, 6 getting a ticket and 7th getting $215, I was a massive chip lead and could have easily sat out for my ticket. Then we got to this hand:

I then knocked out the shorty with AA and was second shortest stack. I could feel tilt coming on hard but still had a decent shot at the ticket. kenoath5 then announced to the table he didn't want a ticket and that he would now announce his hand and go with it. Sure enough he did this a few hands in a row, showing the cards when people folded. It got to my big blind, kenoath typed K4o and minraised. I had A9s. Obviously I had no FE and there was one stack still shorter than me but by this time I had had about 6 pints and I jammed. He called and hit 2 pair and I was bubble boy. I rarely get tilted at all but I couldn't even see straight (maybe the alcohol), I went into the kitchen, looked around, got a plate out the cupboard and threw it on the floor. Then I went to the pub and got smashed.
