Just busted out of the 4K Cashout on Fulltilt in 45th spot due to my one fold too many leak. I can fold to people shoving over my raises only so many time before I say f–it an call off my stack in this case I have 77 against a push by a player who had been doing a long of reshoves and I had been having to fold so many times during the tourney so I thought f–it I'll take the flip. And he turned over AQ and hit the Q on the flop. Part of the issue is the go big or go home. I don't want to mincash yet again I want to get the size of stack one needs to make the FT.
I am so furious with myself for donking off my stack like that. I feel I should play microtouneys and fold every hand, including aces until I I can fold without thought or frustration.
I hear you on this. As a note something that I have found that really helps with getting comfortable with shoving and calling shoves is to play single table SnGs. I found that playing a lot of the single table turbos on Stars (I play/played 3.40 and 6.50's a lot) was a good way for me to get setup to understand how this sort of push/fold style play works. The big adjustment to then make going back to non-turbo MTT's is watching the time per level and picking your spots using that additional input. Hope it helps!
