I usually never post ‘bad beats’ or whatever but I figured when it rains it pours and it was good for a laugh.

So I have been running pretty bad the last few days (but getting it in good almost every time so i know im playing well). Anyway, super early in a micro stakes mtt, stack about 3k, blinds 10/20 I raise to 160 with AA and get 3 bet, then 4 bet and it comes back around to me..just as i’m about to ship it all in I see the dreaded pinwheel (i’m using a Mac) and I KNOW what is going to happen…Ever since the 2nd to last FTP update my lobby and ftp client has been lagging and the pinwheel makes an appearance when I try and reg for SnG’s.

So ofcourse I timeout with AA and fold, the other players have KK and JJ and AA would have held and I would have had about 6500 and off to a great start…sigh

A few hands later I pickup AA in the bb, UTG with about 2k in chips limps UTG, a few flats…I re-raise to something redic like 300 and he INSTA SHOVES with….drumroll please Q9off…flop 9, turn 9..

As a note – I was down to 786 chips at 50/100 and managed to fight my way back. First I get it in AK vs AK and we chop..(sigh)…a few orbits later I get it in AJ vs AJ and chop again..sigh…I but don’t give up and I fight all the way to about 6k in chips by open shoving and picking up pots and winning the occasional 60/40. So with blinds 150/300 ish I pickup 88 and shove and get called by AQ…flop blank, turn blank, river Q..for about a 12K pot…ahh well…just wasnt my tournament lol

I played well though, never gave up, and applied some of the concepts I have learned here so far to make a nice comeback. Maybe next time
