Not quite up to KB's performances in the 50K, but still a nice 3 fig cash for me, my first in 2 1/2 months (yes they can be tough to come by for us US players). Thanks to this wonderful website, did not let the bad beats etc. during my downswing affect my play, confident that, if I continued to work hard, the results would return.

With a lot more time on my hands in the last two months due to early tourney exits, I took advantage by rewatching BigDog's videos (yes, I have watched all of them once) from  the beginning. Did not get through all of them (though I plan to), but they reminded me of some techniques that I had not been utilizing enough, or perhaps in the wrong spots. My downswing was somewhat atributable to normal variance, but in rewatching the vids I also realized that I simply had not been doing enough of picking up chips where perhaps others would not, which gives you the stacks to offset the bad beats.

No better example of this than tonight in the 10K, where I steadily aquired chips in many, many pots without showdown until I was second at the final table, which turned into a dominant first place after I attacked the first place stack when he and I were about 30 bb ahead of the rest of the field, and I ended up taking up all his chips, sending him out in 9th while the table watched in amazement!  At one point I was so dominant that nearly the whole table was a reshove (18-24 bb) stack at six-handed play despite it not being a shallow tournament. It was such a great feeling KNOWING when it was 8 handed that I was going to ship this thing (the chip leader that i eliminated was by far the best player) though heads up was a lengthy batttle.

As always, I have this wonderful, wonderful site to thank! I thought I was a decent poker player before i joined, but now I know I was terribad, and I'm still not great but continue to learn and grow through this site. And the money is a  nice byproduct!

Thanks aganin TPE!!!cool
