Every tuesday at a local indian casino they host two turbo tournaments. $80 buy-in, with 40 people max, with a starting stack of 8000 chips and 20minute blinds.

Before joining TPE I had played the tournaments twice, both times making the final table, but never cashed, bubbling the first time, and getting knocked out 8th in the second.

Yesterday I went back for my third attempt, and after utilizing a few techniques I've learned here, such as a the 3bet shove, I managed to ship the tournament. Unfortunately the pot was chopped when we were 3 handed because of almost identical chip sizes, and big blinds/antes, so instead of winning $800 I only got $500. But either way, it still felt awesome to ship the tourney.

The tournament took place at the Great Blue Heron casino in Port Perry, Ontario. It's the closets legal game to Toronto.

No better feeling in the world than to know that the players you are playing with have no clue what's coming at them with the techniques you learn on this sight…..you WILL win many more…congratslaughlaughlaugh
