Heartland Poker Tour is at Hollywood Casino for the next couple of weeks. To be honest, a couple of months ago i saw that HPT would be in town and that was my motivation to study poker again after a 9-year break.

I played the 100k on Thursday and hit a spot in level 4 where I thought I was going to double up with KK in the BB. Ran into AA though – oops…lol. no worries.

I bought into that same event again last night and did really well. Of 398 peeps, we would play down to 40 players and those 40 would go to Day 2 (and cash). I got to level 13 and was really trying to preserve my FE because there were some big stacks at the table so seemed like anything less than 20BB could likely get called. I busted like 60th-65th or something when I shoved ATc from SB into the other “small” stack at the table. He showed up with AQ and rivered a K for straight. I had fun for 8 hours, so it was good times.
