Looks like unless something changes my time of playing cards at pokerstars may have come to an end. My last two deposit attempts have been denied by my bank. I am in the process of working with my bank to figure out the exact reason but it doesn't look good. I have been depositing and withdrawing using echecks for a while now with no issues but starting a couple of weeks ago, NO DICE!

Here are the emails from pokerstars:

Thank you for contacting us.

Your echeck deposit was returned because your bank account failed to pass our
scrubbing verifications. Unfortunately, we do not have any more details to provide at
this time.

Note that, as a standard procedure, as soon as this return was received, we proceeded
to debit those funds from your PokerStars account balance. If your current balance is
less than $0.00, this means that you did not have sufficient funds available in your
PokerStars account to repay the amount of your unprocessed deposits. All you have to
do to complete repayment is make a deposit for the total amount owing. Your next
deposit will automatically be applied toward your negative balance.

You may use any of the deposit options in the PokerStars Cashier to repay any funds
still owing, including the Instant eChecks option but using a different “demand
draft” enabled bank account. For the purpose of using a different bank account, we
have removed the stored bank account details from the cashier.

Should you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

Gabriel

And then this:

Thank you for your email.

As already explained to you by our Payments department,  we have blocked your account
ending '5567'. This account is now completely disabled and unavailable for future use
for either deposits or withdrawals. We will not be able to unblock this account in the
future.

Thank you for playing at Pokerstars.

Regards,

Davide
PokerStars Security Team

And finally this:

Thank you for writing.

Kindly note that we use different third party companies to
process our e-Check transactions. For this reason, you were able
to deposit using your bank account but unfortunately, the current
processor company requires a bank account that accepts demand
drafts.

Your banking information has been removed from our system, now
you are able to enter a different “demand draft” enabled bank
account.

Please note that you are able to use eCheck deposit method but
all you have to do is to ask your bank for a new account that
accepts demand drafts because our new third party processor uses
these kind of transactions.

I hope this explanation can help you to understand your situation.

For more assistance, do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

John

Well to tell you the truth I am a little turned off by this. I have had the bank account in question for almost 12 years and have never had a problem using it for anything. I googled “demand draft” and it appears to be a somewhat insecure method of doing business. I guess I am going to get with my bank Monday morning and see if they even offer such an account and get what information I can from them. My first reaction was ” oh well I can still do business with FullTilt”, but honestly I am questioning the wisdom in depositing my bankroll on any site until I get more information on all of this. I am just happy that this happened before I had the opportunity to start transferring my bankroll instead of afterwards when I was trying to get money off of the site.

Any of you guys have any thoughts and/or advice on this situation?

I have to admit I don't really understand why they won't accept your bank account but maybe it might be worth opening another checking account with a different bank?  I know a lot of online players have several accounts – especially after UIEGA.

Well I'm back guys. I got uber frustrated when the the ordeal detailed when I started this thread came up and basically backed completely away from the online game. After 2 months of playing the live tourneys that run reasonably close to my home and getting set to finally go back to college I have decided to contact Stars and see what my options are and maybe get a better explanation of why the problem of not being able to deposit came about to begin with. I guess the main reason I am doing this is because I still need income from playing and I am not going to have the time to make  the hour and a half to six hour drives to the cardrooms (depending on where I choose to go). So I will be seeing everyone in the forums and what not and hopefully will be back at the tables in the next few days.
