Yesterday I final tabled HOT 11 . had a realy good stack to win it. was 2nd. but everything goes sadly I post my final hand. table was very soft. before final table when 12 peaple was left I had 4,6mln chips but get bad beat with set , some guy cach straight on the river.. but I still was one of the leaders. but this hand on FT is so painfull , money jumps was so hi.

I’ll just say up front, that I completely understand your reason for checking (pay jumps, etc).
I seems though, that unless the villain has limped with big hands before – I think Stuffy Baker need to make an appearance here.
There’s too much value left in the middle after the button just limps (putting a weak Ace, a QJ type hand (like he had), suited connectors and small pairs as the majority of his range make up.
Assuming that he’s not limping with Jacks+ at this stage, I think he folds every one of the hands mentioned above.
Considering that you are going to hate pretty much every flop that comes out, plus the fact that you are out of position, I think a rip here with 16Bb is optimal.
If you’re not sure that the villain would fold two overs, then I understand the check. I personally would still shove, but I get the fact that you may not have wanted to race with some hefty pay jumps in front.
As for the way it played out, you hit gin and got super coolered. Focus on how well you played to get that far rather than how unlucky you got in that one spot.
