So I was grinding out the $11 MTTs on 888 and the $2 and $3 rebuys, along with the occasional $15 shot with a $500 BR on 888 and $450 on lock. I was playing LAG and picking every marginal EV spot. After talking to Duncan (one eyed mule/Houndboy) and getting some advice from him my game went from LAG to TAG, and my results have gone up. He's also given me a few mindset tips and a few tips including eating/sleeping patterns to improve my game (really underrated, I think this could also be a theory video for TPE; adapting to a good poker life style, when to play when not to play, sleeping/eating patterns etc). Due to this recent positivity in my life, my results have gone up. I had my first $1k week. My results were:
5th in the $1R Frenzy for $225
1st in the $2R Cam for $345
1st in the $11 Deep stack for $444
And a few other non-mentionable cashes like $40-60s
I'm especially proud of my score in the deep stacked. I went over my hand history with Duncan, and he thinks I played good too. My confidence has gone up, and now I actually have a roll to comfortably grind with and work up. I look forward to hitting my first $10k week now! Cheers TPE!
Thanks Donskey, Just won a small tournament, nothing big just a $5 freezeout for $100 but I'll take it as a variance killer. It was actually a cam table, and when we were 3 handed this german guy was telling his friends his cards without realizing his microphone was on. Hope the heater keeps up and I can buy myself a nice grind station soon.
