winning is a very tough goal in tourney poker but obv the goal that every player sets out for themselves when registering for tourneys, theres a tonne of heartache and pain involved in this game but hanging in there and maintaining a positive attitude will help you deal with the bricks that you throw and make the wins that much more special. Enjoy em when you have em because they dont visit very often

finally a win again,

this time i had not a month full of badbeats, i just couldnt play for a couple of weeks cause i was in africa and had no steady internetconnection 🙁 but back i shipped one in the second session i have played, but only a 1,6k gtd, but it motivates to get back on the grind.

there is nothing better than going on a downswing, having a week off, and then shipping something the night you get back to playing. it reminds you why you love the grind so much.

well done sir

Glad to hear someone’s getting some success, I have tightened
up my game by watching as many early stages vids as possible and now getting
lots of deep runs (plus the odd spazz out on level 2 obv lol) but just getting
my soul crushed for min cashes or just missing the cash with hands not holding
up – very soul destroying – good to hear some success stories to get my hope
back up lol.

@butt:yap losing with the better hand is part of the game and i know sometimes it can be devastating.

but when you have a lot of deep runs its just a question of time till you win some 😉  watch bigdog vids, they had an immense impact on my game!

@hape: lol ty bro, lemme know if you have any special advice for live tourneys 🙂

What vids do you think are the best of BigDoggs bada? I've got my early stages down pretty good but think I'm strugglign with the mid/later stages a little bit

he has 2 midstages series you should definetly watch, but all his live sweats are great and i also think the “stick it to the man” with him is very educational and entertaining. just his last live sweat series was not his best.

oh and dont forget to watch the 3b shoves theory vid!!! cause i think when you struggle in later stages it all comes down to your 3b shove game 😉

for shortstacked play i'd recommand ttwists “dont call it a comeback” vid

not a win but

just made my first final table on PARTY POKER (3k gtd tourney) and grinded/lucked to finish 2nd place.:)

all in all over the years ive just played 40 tourneys there cause  i never liked playin on partypoker, dont know why. now because of bonuses and the upcoming pokerfest i deposited a lil money and i recognized they really do have a great structure:

3k starting stack 15 min levels, level 10: 200-400 (on stars level 10: 300-600) i guess i'll start playin a lil more over there

i've been at the prague pokerfestival the last week and pokerwise it was close to a disaster, played xtremely bad and ran bad, somehow a bad combination 😉

i played 5 tourneys busted 2 times with QQ (<AA and 2nd time <KK) also AQ<AK and in an ept turbo sideevent i lost 2 50/50ies in a row 🙁

but in the end i got real lucky and won a package for the GSOP live in SALZBURG next month, in a game that needed real skill – a coinflip all in tourney smile

after a very tough month and several beats deep in tourneys (for example: got on the ft of a 15k tourney as chipleader and finished 9th because of a river badbeat)

i finally took one down again. the 5k gtd canadian daily on bwin  🙂

not a win but a decent result: 18th in the merge major 100k gtd tourney 🙂

other than that i blew so many ft leads in january that it is unbelievable (17 final tables and only 1 win:( ) – i think i have to watch some bigdog ft videos again

ok i face the reality, it seems like i cant win anymore 🙁

but i made some great deepruns lately.

and today i made my first 100$ rebuy final table, unfortonately i busted 9th but still a 2,6k win

and i won a hand against bigdog, i take this also as a win 😉

“Only” 18 ft's in January? awesome m8… ur a beast!

ul to make only 1 shippament tho, but if I hear u get sucked out on at rivertime, ur apparently going in with the best hand, so I blame variance for the “1”  takedown.

getting deep and into ft's over and over again ensures a good profit in the long run imo… very nice job sir! cool
