 Just been playing a bit of cash was wondering if this was a bad beat i could of avoided 

 

Hero (MP2): BB = Infinity, $2.34
CO: BB = Infinity, $2.30
BTN: BB = Infinity, $0.96
SB: BB = Infinity, $2.01

UTG: BB = Infinity, $1.94

3 folds, Hero raises to $0.04, 2 folds, SB raises to $0.12, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.08

You were ahead and got it in good as of the Turn. He just drew out on you.

Unfortunately this is poker, and No Limit is a game of High Variance..

 

As played you did well. Nothing you can do when you are ahead and they suck out.

dont minraise the flop, and v some opponents its a fold pre.

Just a bad beat.

 

Duggs is right you can fold pre, although I never would fold this in cash unless I have some history with the player and know his 3 bet range is very tight.  I would also raise more on the flop once you hit your queen.

 

However, as played you were unlucky that he got there on the river.
