Hi all,

my 1st post at the site.

Played a 9 player SNG

4 left at the table.

Not not sure I did the right play here. Any advice?

 

BTN: BB = 21.3, t4256
Hero (SB): BB = 15.6, t3110
BB: BB = 13.8, t2765
CO: BB = 16.8, t3369

Pre Flop: (t400) Hero is SB with J of diamonds K of clubs
2 folds, Hero raises to t600, BB calls t400

Flop: (t1300) 9 of diamonds T of spades 8 of spades (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t200, Hero calls t200

Turn: (t1700) 7 of hearts (2 players)
Hero bets t600, BB calls t600

River: (t2900) 8 of diamonds (2 players)
Hero bets t1685 all in, BB calls t1340 all in

Final Pot: t5580
Hero shows J of diamonds K of clubs (a straight, Seven to Jack)
BB shows Q of spades J of hearts (a straight, Eight to Queen)
BB wins t5580

1) Preflop I would just be rasing 2x, not 3x. Committing less of your stack in these turbos is important.

2) Your flop bet is very low. In the case you were beat regardless, but i would consider raising more on a flop such as this

 

Not much else I can comment on as this is basically a cooler. After the turn you really can't fold
