Where to begin, well today started off as any other day except for a couple different things. I had won two satellite tickets on Bovada over the past couple weeks. The first was a $25k gtd $215 buy in. The second was a WSOP Main Event Satty $500 buy in. I also decided to play in the 100k gtd on Lock basically because it seems like play money.

So I end up cashing in the 25k for like $350. Not really a big deal but i never really got traction and just kinda found myself in the money so cool.

Took 26th i think in the 100k on lock. Really hoping they get their act together now because that would be a very pleasant surprise.

Obviously this doesnt sound that amazing, but as im sure you can assume I won the satty for the WSOP Main Event!!!!!!!!!

Ive never even been to Vegas and I currently cant describe how excited i am. Honestly, one of the most exciting parts of this experience will be getting to meet a bunch of awesome TPE guys who I hear on podcasts and in the forums. Since, joining TPE, my game has changed dramatically. My grasp on tournament concepts has never been better and this has culminated in what will hopefully be the greatest experience of my life.

So with that said, I look forward to seeing a bunch of you in Vegas and would like to sincerely thank everyone who is a part of this site. I honestly could not have done this without you.

Also if anyone knows how things like this work with online sites and sattys I would really like to speak to you as I have no idea what to expect.

I should also add that the Main Event satellite started with 1 $15 sng, which became a $75 tournament ticket and then a $500 tournament ticket.

It was an unbelievably awesome experience. Bovada treated us like royalty and i had a solid group of friends who were able to make it out there with me (None of which know or understand anything about poker). Played a little bit of day 1 with Maria Ho and Daniel Negreanu was at the table next to mine and was a really cool guy. I actually made a really interesting play against Maria which she gave me some props for after we bagged for the night.

She was two seats to my left and I opened the button with 97o and she flatted from the BB. Flop came AK4 with 2 clubs and i made a standard cbet of around half pot. She made the call and then lead on 2c turn. Her lead on the turn looked really fishy. My range on the button is really wide and I feel like she should never be leading with value hands on this board. I make the call with the intention of bluffing any non club river. The river is the 9s. She leads for 3/4 pot which was something like 5k with 20k left in her stack. If my read on the turn was correct I probably made the best hand on the river and didnt feel the need to turn my hand into a bluff and just tank called. She said “I have a 4”. I told her I had a 9 and she looked at me almost confused. After we bagged, I explained my thoughts on the hand and she said she was rather impressed with my call on the river which was somewhat surreal.

Unfortunately, my run ended early on day 2 when I ran KK into AA about 7 hands into the day. Also got to meet Marc Allioto who was super cool. Ran into Andrew Brokos in the hallway and got to chat with him for a minute or so. In the end, I have an amazing story i will be able to tell for the rest of my life and i officially have the fever and am already discussing plans for next year. Hopefully next time I will get there early enough to meet a bunch of TPE guys.

Also, I will definitely be playing at the Borgata Open as it looks like im moving to Absecon which is a town bordering AC. So hopefully I will be able to meet up with a bunch of the guys.

Wow, I must have walked by your table a bunch on day one, cause I remember going by Daniel N lots and watching him in seat 1 getting a massage most of the day, lol.  Was railing a bunch of other friends.  Glad your experience was a great one. We need to come up with a COLOR OF THE DAY so we can pick TPE members out on playing days, LOL. j/k

See you at Borgata, I'll be at the final table with you, Diego and whatever TPE Pros or members show up.
