After a slightly profitible sunday I didn't plan on playing this monday at all. Anyway I ended up starting a handfull of low-buyin SNGs and one SAT (all 2 and 3 € BI) and planned on playing for approx 1,5 hours. The reason I also started a SAT tourney is that I feel like I got a great ROI in these and wanted to use the T€ for smaller buyins on an other day.

Well unfortunatelly (not really though), the bubble with 23 left and 20 getting a ticket in the SAT lastet for almost 20 minutes. Exactly 2 minutes too late to unregister the target tourney.

So I was forced to play this 1R1A tourney. I planned on not rebuying and maybe (deciding on the feeling with the field and my chipstack) adding on, because my roll actually doesn't support a 30€-in-total tourney.

But when coming close to the end of the rebuy period after 1:30 h of play I decided to invest these 20€ for an extra chip-edge as I had brought my starting stack to a decent amount and found the field to be very profitable. To put it short I decided to play for the win instead of an average cash.

Well, after 8:20 h of total play we ended up chopping four-handed, with myself getting 3590 € (approx $4700) for 3rd place. I am pretty proud of this outcome. Though the field was nice and weak I feel like I was able to make some great reads putting max. pressure on some of the players and was able to get max value on spots I used to miss a lot a few month ago.

After a july of devastating bad-beats before and at FTs and a little les brutal August putting my roll down to a near-zero mark, this was a fantastic feeling, beeing my biggest win so far.

During the session I tried some newly downloaded recording software, so there are about 15 minutes of life sweat available – if you are interested I'll upload these.

I also plan on updating my poker results soon, keeping a diary of my poker progress.

Maybe I'll make a HH review of this tourney, since I think I might get a nice learning out of it, because I know there are still a lot of spots to improve, also turning this into a stick-it-to-the-man would be awesome. 😉

So stay tuned. : )
