Been cheating in my daily grind by playing more satellite's to the higher mtts than my roll allows because I've been doing very well in them. But not so well in the tournys i'm getting into. Did have two brutal beats in a couple this week that would have put me in good position to make a good run.

Happens to everyone I tried to tell myself, but meanwhile my roll took a serious hit this week.

Instead of getting back to my $10 and $20 mt sitngos, went back to the sats and won a seat in two good ones today and couldn't do a thing in either but I saw i had a slight chance to cash in the $320, being about 70th and 54th place started paying about $700 with 498 total entrants.

Since it would really help my bankroll, I decided it was more important to cash than to take risks that would give me a better chance of getting deep. So I decided to use some sitngo push/fold charts (and stick to them) that were tighter than mtt push/folds and somehow managed to get it in slightly ahead and win few times and made it past the bubble.

With only 8 or 9 bbs I decided to stick with the same strategy and move up to the next pay level. I won a couple of more times, never getting a premium hand this whole time, and managed to build my stack to about 25 bbs at 800/1600 150 with less than 3 tables left.

Then this hand:

 Poker Stars $300 No Limit Hold'em Tournament – t800/t1600 Blinds + t150 – 7 players
Hand Conversion courtesy of Tournament Poker Edge

Disconaut (SB): BB = 54.3, t86844
Joe Hahn (BB): BB = 14.5, t23130
Darkbimon (UTG): BB = 22.6, t36099
mm209 (UTG+1): BB = 23.2, t37092
Tae Joon Noh (MP): BB = 27.3, t43711
delaney_kid (CO): BB = 43.9, t70217
GS_LT (BTN): BB = 29.2, t46728

Pre Flop: (t3450) mm209 is UTG+1 with A of hearts A of clubs
1 fold, mm209 raises to t3999, 3 folds, Disconaut calls t3199, 1 fold

Flop: (t10648) Q of clubs 6 of diamonds Q of hearts (2 players)
Disconaut checks, mm209 bets t4800, Disconaut calls t4800

Turn: (t20248) 6 of hearts (2 players)
Disconaut checks, mm209 bets t14400, Disconaut raises to t77895 all in, mm209 calls t13743 all in

River: (t76534) 3 of hearts (2 players – 2 are all in)

Final Pot: t76534
Disconaut shows 6 of clubs 6 of spades (four of a kind, Sixes)
mm209 shows A of hearts A of clubs (two pair, Aces and Queens)
Disconaut wins t76534

When the flop came and he ch/called, he could have had a bunch of hands there. And I decided there's no turning back – if he has a Q, so be it.

I guess I should be greatfull for cashing at all because it was def a longshot with 70 left – but can't help thinking, what if the Aces held?

58th in the Sunday Warmup a couple of weeks ago and then this today – the group of pros here are def helping me. Thanks very much.
