Hi all, I have just spent about 2 weeks trying out this poker genius. It's simulated poker for pretty much MTT's, and full ring cash no limit games that allows you to play with any number of opponents you wish with the ability to replay hands, analyze your play, and import/export histories. Anyway, I played the most advanced bots that were available, and pretty much crushed the cash games, and also played an MTT that I programmed to play with 1000 (best bots) players, and simulated the structures you would get in a typical Borgata $1 million guarantee. After playing this tourney I got busted out short of the money 3 times, finished in 97th place once, and took 1st place on my 5th try.
Now, I haven't cashed in any of the last 10 live tourneys that I have played, but I have been winning consistently playing $2/$5 lately. I won 7 out of my last 8 sessions that I have played.
Has anyone else tried this software, and what would your opinion be? In addition, is there a pro that would be willing to download and review this software, and let me know whats up? I know that the cash game coach that has a very good rep Bill Hubbard has been touting this, and the company of course says that if you can beat this software than you can dominate the cash games, and also crush tourneys. Feedback would be appreciated!
Thanks, Paul

Sounds interesting.
It, of course, all depends on the complexity of the AI. I know that a few years ago, the best poker AI was still beat by the best players. Dunno if it's still true. Anyway I doubt that the bots used in this program show the versatility a real thinking player may bring to the game.
Nevertheless I'd be very interested to hear some views from experienced online pros.
I just believe that playing against a real field may be the best practice there is – if you got the bankroll to do so of course.
If that AI is advanced and ahead of the average REG at stars, it would indeed be a great tool to use before moving up stakes, especially if you are used to play the lower stakes only. Unless that's the case thought, playing these simulations will be -EV as you don't get the real experience and have no chance to earn any money doing so.
It would still be a good tool for beginners new to the game, that don't want to donate their buy-ins just to get some poker experience.

Agreed, I would be very interested in getting a live or online pro's take on this software, and yes nothing substitutes real field thinking player poker. Unfortunately, I do not play online anymore as i'm in NY, and don't want to get stressed out by taking a chance, and its a drive to any room. I will be playing the Parx Bigstax on Friday, so looking forward to that. Its a great structure, and return for the money should you get lucky enough to FT it. Since it was so easy for me to beat this program I am thinking that it is a waste of my time but probably a great tool for the beginner. I really do not believe that I am world class, lol. It would be nice though!
