I was surfing around and I happened across this package for automatically generating and color coding notes for HEM and PT3. I was curious if anyone had any experience with it or has used it and could provide any feedback on it. Thanks!
I heard about this and seen screenshots and it doesnt look any different from the standard notes on PS or FTP.
and FWIW, I like the notetaking on PS WAY BETTER than FTP … I dont like a shit load of pop ups and FTP does that.

Note Caddy Rocks Friday, September 24th 2010 9:34 pm |
While I haven't spent enough time with the software to be comfortable with it, I am really impressed with a new piece of software that I think will be a game changed for cash game players (and maybe some tournament players too). Note Caddy allows you to create sets of rules and the software will create notes on your opponents based on those rules. It will even color code your opponents. Having the software add notes and color codes for a few thousand opponents only took a few minutes, and a million hands database took less than twenty minutes. Now I can see color codes on opponents in the lobby, tell immediately how my opponents play, and the software will definitely alert me to some things I wouldn't pick up otherwise.
I am not likely to notice that a guy has fired two barrels with a draw six out of eight possible times, but the software noticed and when I checked my notes on the opponent, there it was
“Fires two barrels with a draw (6/8)”
Great piece of software, and since you can write your own rules for both the color coding and the actual notes, anyone can alter it to fit the game they play. I'll play around with it a little more and write a longer review at some point, but for now I think it's definitely a great program. If you aren't a serious cash game grinder it may be hard to justify $50, but it's worth checking out the free trial to see how useful Note Caddy may be. There is a $10 a month for five months payment option as well, good stuff for lower-limit players.

looks great
could definitely see a use in this
I have been trying out Note Caddy for 5 days now and I have to say that it is a really solid package. The quality of the notes it takes makes a really nice informational addition to your HUD for helping decisions. I find that it does a better job of breaking down a hand into readable meaningful messages that I can then use as a reference for future plays. I know I had use of it a couple of times in the last few runs I have made. I would certainly recommend it as a tool to augment your own note taking.

can you set it up for tourney specific notes?
i.e it would be awesome for it to say something like “opens XX% of buttons when >20bb deep and opens/shoves XX% when < 20bb”
Our pros here highly encourage note taking on opponents. So this program could be a very strong addition to our arsenal of weapons to aid in the “new era of on line poker”. I've paid my third month of low stakes membership.
Currently there is a contest ending today I believe whereby, users are encouraged to come up with new note definitions. This may be where the more specific tournament type note will be added. I'm going to jump on the bandwagon.
We're getting better.

I have it (mostly for cash games). I love it. However, you absolutely need to adjust everything to your needs. The default definitions are far too non-specific to be relied upon. I had to create my own for cash, but for tourneys some guy already did that and posted it on the forums. I'd add those for sure.
