Hey everyone!!!!!
My friends and i have created this new app for iphones (not androids at present) which is based on the push fold charts that come from NASH.
It's called Holdemishove and its already available on the apple store for $6.49.
We have a facebook page …..ldemIShove which has a link to the itunes app store with more information about it.
Alternatively you could go directly to the itunes app store and search Holdemitunes and we have a pic at the bottom and some general information as i have given here.
It has only been released for a short while and we'd really like for all of your feedback/opinions and ultimately purchasing or merely spreading the word to anyone who you think may benefit from this.
For anyone reading this who is a beginner it is basically a handy app that lets you input a few pieces of data (really easily) including your hand, your position, the # of BBs you have in your stack and if antes are in play or not. It then gives you an arbitrary number that will be positive or negative.
The interpretation of this number is quite simple.. the further POSITIVE the number is the clearer a profitable shove it will be in that given spot, and the the further NEGATIVE it is, the more we should be inclined to fold.
Of course nothing in poker is that simple. There should be many other factors you should take into account and these come with experience as many of you know.
What this app will do, is speed up the process for you!
I know that once i got a hold of the push fold charts that are available online i got real used to scanning across to find my hand in the tables and using it to help with my decisions, kinda tedious and boring after a few hundred times!
Well theres no need to have sheets of paper beside the computer, or spread sheets open behind the table to refer to. You can have it handy on your iphone open right next to the computer and its kinda fun to use too! and theres no reason why you cant do this in-game as you can with the current charts.
Perfect to use esp in turbo tournaments where you come across spots where you ask yourself “is this a shove or not?” way more often than in a regular speed MTT.
A simple but we think very beneficial app especially for beginners and intermediate players to get used to, but also expert players and not to mention while not even playing you can put in random situations for practice and see how close they are to shoving or folding.
Our good friend Paul 'Kingpaulie' Hockin (who has winnings of $440k in 2012 on pokerstars) uses this app everyday he plays and absolutely stands by it!
I hope you all have the chance to check it out at least and please give some feedback on anything you think we could do to improve on.
Thanks for reading
