Hey everyone. Thought id make a post , that might attract some attention. After watching 'betudontbet' vids, where he uses the nash push/fold calculator and mentions the ICMizer…i'v been a little confused, on the the true accuracy of their results. Obviously with the nash just assuming ur in a 9 man sng. I guess the indications are always going to be there or therabouts..

But having investigated into using the ICMizer, for this 1 hand in particular..i had to doubt its forecast. Obviously shoving the button any 2 in many circumstances is +EV, but in many spots..i tend to look at the risk/reward basis also.

Hand in question….and i have entered the correct stacks etcetc into the ICMizer and nash, but there relatively insignificant when it comes to button shoving. SO…I have 76s button (9865), maybe 10 places from the money in a $11 180 man, 27 pay format. SB has 6100, so too does the BB. So iv got 10m, and small and big blind have 6m. I shoved in the hope of winning the pot uncontested, but this is just about bottom range to me, and even after looking at the hand again..i think maybe even too risky..so i'm actually more inclined to go with 98s as bottom range.

Interested to hear what u guys would/wouldnt shove in this spot…nothing stood out particularly in their playing styles..ie not particularly nitty or fishy.

Interestingly ICMizer suggests a very wide range including 2/3rds of hands ! going as low as 43s with 76o, and even including q4o bah ! lol

Has anyone had much experience using this and/or nash etc, and is this hand/similar situations really that accurate…it doesnt change my angle whatever…im just not shoving q4o there in a million years…even if they are nits ! 🙂

I dont really like to use Nash on ICMIZER and prefer just to select the hands and ranges based on HUD, table dynamic, their image and my image. Nash is prolly good as a baseline for a table where youy have zero reads and zero stats. 76s is a snap shove for me off top of my head

Also depends on wat MTT u playing…eg..there is nobody at a 2 dollar SNG/MTT who is capable of snapping off with K8 to a shove so calling ranges are usually pretty tight

Upswing potential is huge
