Hi guys,
I have watched HUD video from RonFezBuddy, which was very helpful.
But I have some questions concerning MTT tha most of us play:
- Apparently VPIP,PFR,3BET are important but what others stats are important in your oppinion?
- How many hands played from a viain you would consider reliable to consider HUD before taking a decision?
- In the latest HM2, which i have downloaded, there is a list with premade views (like deafault2. etc) is one of them most suitable for MTT?
- Any good resource you can advise of how we can ''decode'' the stats we read on the HUD?

There is a very good book that I used when I started. The book is written for online 6max cash games, but goes really indept on the HUD. It also has a lot of scenarios and examples on how to proceed. Even though it is for cash it uses the same stats and gives HUD setups. I put a link below. The book is based around making decisions with the HUD. Hope this helps.
"Your either in Sheen's Korner or your with the trolls."
My HUD is configured as follows:
VPIP/PFR/RFI/STL
3bet/resteal/fold to 3b/4b vs 3b/BB VPIP
flop cbet/fold to flop cbet/checkraise cbet
big blinds
RFI means raise first in from any position.
STL means steal percentage.
In my opinion, the most underutilized/overlooked HUD stat is BB VPIP. It is a fairly reliable way to identify the fish (whose BB VPIP number is usually in the 40s and above), and also to identify whose big blind you’ll be able to steal frequently (single digit BB VPIP). Usually it only takes six or seven orbits for this number to become meaningful, although it can definitely take a lot more due to variance/randomness.

I think I will add those to my HUD, sounds like a winning combination.

Sounds good. Is 4b vs 3b %age villian 4b vs folding to 3b?
Is checkraise cbet how often villian checkraises your cbet?

If you play lower limits I highly suggest limp%, it's made me a lot of money in the past.
My hud setup is VPIP/PFR/Postflop Agg factor/3 bet % / limp%, and it works out great. I like keeping it simple.
not sure about limp percentage, because you can infer that from the difference between vpip and pfr. if you were going to put some sort of limp stat on there, maybe limp-fold would be good.
Marc alioto also runs through his hud in the first part of his latest HH review, and i think it is pretty good. makes me think i need to change from the standard HEM2 one though
After black Friday I just sort of walked away from online poker except for a brief fling with WPT.com. I heard about Lock Poker on the podcast and joined last weekend. It's kind of Amish in its presentation and graphics but I'm so glad to have online poker again. I can't play on the Merge network because I live in DC. Anyway, is there a HUD that's configured for Lock? I've never used on before but I'd like to give it a shot…anything to help my game ya know. I tried Poker Tracker but it's not set up for Lock that I can tell but I think it should be as it has the Revolution network as an option.
Thanks

HEM works for me.
I downloaded HEM and it can read my HH but I can't figure out how to get the display up on the table. I did a search in the HEM FAQ and didn't see anything about the display. Shouldn't it come up automatically. I downloaded the trial version. Does that make a difference?
Sorry to be such a rube about all this.

Post in the hem forum about it, I have done a few times and they are always able to help
I downloaded the trial version and that might be an issue. I emailed so hopefully they get back to me soon. I'm probably going to end up buying but my poker is going through phases right now. I'd love to think this will help take my game to the next level at least online. Question though…how do you keep track off all the info in a live tournament? How do you keep track of who opens pots and who folds to 3-bets, who's tight and and who is a maniac. Practice? or are there actually techniques. I heard somewhere, I think a podcast, that you should mentally post a rating, 1-5, over everyone's head and then adjust accordingly as information comes in. Seems like a good idea but requires more focus than I have right now.

If anyone is still trying to decide between PT4 and HM2, i strongly suggest going with HM2.
Hm2 is much easier for database mgt. and easier to find your leaks. Notecaddy for HM2 is much better than the system PT4 uses.
My tourney hud looks like this –
Name/hands/M stat
Vp/pfr/steal/agg/btn steal success (only show for hero)/sb steal success (only show for hero)
3bet/3 bet success (only show for hero)/ fold to 3bet/ check raise/ limp fold/ squeeze
flop cbet/turn cbet/river cbet/ fold fcb/fold tcb/ fold rcb
Plus the popups i use for everything else, usually stats by position.

Does anyone one know if the trial version of HM2 have any restrictions? I downloaded it yesterday and got the HUD to work on Lock but I cannot get all my hands in my imported hand history to show in reports, this includes hands from 2 tourneys I played last night. I can see they're all in the HM2Archive folder. Also hands from my current session do not show in the active session screen….what am I missing?
Anyone know why whenever I start a new tournament all my stats reset. There are regs I recognize and their stats don't show at all. Also wondering if any of you guys pay attention to your own stats. I do to see how many hands I'm playing and it really helps since I have the attention span of a 3rd grader sometimes. It reminds me to get a little more aggressive sometimes or that I'm folding to flop c-bets way too often or not 3-betting near enough.
Any thoughts about the stats reset would be appreciated.

I’m guessing you mean the stats of everyone else reset and/or aren’t kept in your database?
You should contact the HM2 or PT4 support about this. However in PT4 you can double click on someone’s HUD stats in game and they change to only show that session. Maybe you have changed a setting to make that happen automatically?
If it’s just your personal HUD stats that reset every tournament then this is normal.
I definitely look at my personal stats in session as it will indicate my image to unknown players. It’s a good idea to review them over a month or so as well to see if you have any leaks.
