Hi to all
I am low stake SnG and tournament player. Just joined TPE
I also just got HM2 and found very useful report/filter section especially, SnG grind analizing…
But need more aspect for better using this section….
As a tournament player, what kind of filter you are using to see your leak, what are looking for…? There are many alternative at filter but which are more helpfull for us..
I think our pros should make a vid. about it… This is very important stuff…
I agree that leakfinding by using hm should be discussed. I do some review of my own play, but rarely by using filters (i only review my deep runs every once in a while because im a narcesistic ****). I do remember years ago, when i played cashgames i would devote alot of time to reviewing hands where river action is call (i imagine hm lets you filter that, this was back when pt was the only option). That is always going to be benifitials and is something i think i will start doing again. This is a great way to improve your handreading abilities aswell. Why did you call? Bluffcatching? Why are you bluffcatching in this spot? Did he valuebet worse? Did you overvalue your hand? Why?
Now, in late stages is so much about table dynamic that handreviewing by filter is kinda useless (i would love if someone could prove me wrong here) as you are exploiting table tendencies and stacks etc, so i do suggest reviewing late stages (5% field left approx) of tournaments and going hand for hand to see if you missed good steal/3-bet resteal/4-bet and squeeze spot.
Now you could also review your shortstack play, i would just sort by hands where starting stack was less than 20bb or 15bb in turbos and see what hands you shove and how often you let yourself get to short i would say less than 7bb is when your starting to really loose all fold equity in normal tournies. Use holdem resources nash calculator to see what your optimal shove range should be. I would also see starting stack 12-20bb when it was opened infromt of you, do you overshove wide openers enough? I imagine reviewing your 20bb and less play and go through hands using nash to get a better feel for optimal shove ranges to be highly rewarding.
