Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?
I use HEM 2 as my in game HUD and to review hands and study up on myself.
I can’t figure out what the following mean or how i’m supposed to use them or what they mean about my play/hands. Would someone enlighten me, or point me in the direction of a video that might help me, please?
Tournaments Tab – $EV
Hand readout – cEV Diff
Hand readout – $EV Diff
I understand EV (thanks to a video from foucault) but don’t understand how to use it in HEM.
Thanks in advance.

The $EV measurement in HM2 is a really vague stat. It’s designed to give you an idea of how much money you “should have” won in tournaments, but it can’t possibly be close to accurate. There’s no way to calculate this using database analysis.
The EV Diff numbers measure the difference between how many chips/how much money you “should have” won, and how much you actually did win.
None of these are really very useful – the only EV number in HM2 that really matters is EV Big Blinds per 100 hands, or EVbb/100. Stay focused on this number, and definitely don’t spend your time trying to work out how good or bad you ran over a certain sample. The only thing you control is your decisions – time spent thinking about anything else is wasted time.
