Having some problems with picking up new book to read, and the biggest problem where to order it. Usually i order books from Pokerstars and already got 4 books:

1) Winning poker tournamnet at one hand

2)  Kill everyone

3) The mathematics of poker

4) Kill Phil

Also read HoHs 3 volumes, Sklanksy. What else guys? What is really worth reading and should be useful for sure? And If there is no such book in stars vip store where I can order it?

Get Winning poker tournamnet one hand……II   Also if you play Sngs get Collin Moshman’s book…spacing the name ATM.  I pick up most of my books at local Barnes and Noble  you could order through them or amazon.

Amazon is a great place to find books. New books are usually cheaper then other places but they have a lot of books offered in the used section at very discounted prices. I was able to purchase Super System I, II and TheMathematics of Poker all for around $15 with shipping. Sure the books look like they have history but the price was perfect. Another option if anyone has one would be the Kindle they have a good selection of Tournament books available.

I always use Amazon as well… and just get the lowest priced book seller with a solid rep… and it will save you a few bucks off each book you get

Mike Matesow's auto bio..check raise the devil was an entertaining book… imo.  It doesn't give u any strategy advice but it does talk about life away from the poker table, and what money and success can do to you if your careful.

+1, also the winning poker tournaments series that features pearl jammer and other good pros.  Best tournament strategy book imo.

Collins' book is a great read.  Also a must for the low limits is Small Stake Hold'em.

The Theory of Poker is a great place to start. Anything by Sklansky will do you good – he's the boss..

The Poker Tournament Formula by Arnold Synder.  Its a different perspective for sure.  I like getting different view points and this book along with TPTF2 are great getting a different view point… ….

I wanted to mention my favourite book:¨ The litle green book¨ by Phil Gordon

I enjoyed and felt i improved my game with every reread.

It looks like a basic one but u can always get some advice from it on how to think about the game.

PD/also the video who come later: ¨final poker table¨ was a entertaining and quality1 thought the book is much better. It took me 1.5 years to realize that it was a fake tournament,i did really believe it was a live tournament 🙂

The first two books I read when I started the adventure of poker were Phil Gordon's blue and green book.

Ebay is always a great place for discounted books.  Be sure to buy from the higher feedback buyers and be sure to read the condition statement, or email them for condition.  I have bought 100+ books there (not all poker related) and have never had a problem.  If you only want new then Amazon is usually the place to go IMO.

1. Kill Everyone

The best book I've read on forms on tournament poker. I've read the Rizen/Pearljammer/Apestyles books. I thought they were excellent until I read Kill Everyone. I can not reccomend it enough.

Last year I took a 7 week break from poker to go off and do a long distance walk. I took Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand At a Time Vols I and II in my rucksack and read them both several times. When I started playing again my results went through the roof, you can easily see the exact moment I returned to the tables on my Sharkscope graph.

At the moment I'm reading Kill Everyone, it is excellent, highly recommended.

Buying these books is a very good investment IMO, much like a TPE subscription your improved results will repay whatever you spend several times over.

I have read just about everything out there but the absolute best book I have ever read to date, and had the most impact on my poker life, was The Poker Mindset by Ian Taylor.  Absolute must read and I wish that I had read it in the early days of of playing.  I have read it twice now, and I am due for a third go around since it has actually been about 2 years or so since I read it.

“Treat Your Poker Like A Business” is a good read.  Its more cash game focused in some parts, but it talks about things like having a comfortable workspace, bankroll management, balancing life and poker, etc

So its a good kind of nuts and bolts kind of book.
