hey guys, started using a new training program youve probably heard of or at least seen advertised Advanced Poker Training, its very different from most training platforms not video based. Its simulation play based where you actually play hands and get critiqued. not sure what i think of it yet. it does 6maax full ring cash MTT and sit n go. Ive mostly done sit n go so far. Once I get more familiar with the site and put some volume on it I can give a better review. Anyone else have this and what do you guys think?

I tried Poker Genius, and not certain of its effectiveness, as I believe that its too easy to beat. How have you been doing with this software?

See my post on the Poker Genius thread for my thoughts on software like this.

There seems to be a difference here, though. With the analysis it might be a really great tool, if it is very well programmed.

Again, I think the best way to determine it's real value would be to have a super experienced pro use/test this software for a few days and hear to what they think about it.

I am pretty certain it could never replace the value of TPE videos where you get deep inside thought on various hands, but might be a great way to find some major leaks. I am very sceptical though, as a MTT leak-finder would be extremly complex to realise, especially if it also features a high-quality MTT/SNG simulation with different opponents.

Hey Inferno, Just got a month of APT to check it out. Have put about 4 hours into it so far. Have tried the MTT play and thought the adviser comments were very tight passive even when using LAG advisers. Thought there were a lot of limping in spots that most TPE’ers would never do. Thought the c-bet % was laughable. There was no multiple barrels that I have seen. Just not an aggro style. Also thought that short stack all-in math would not work in today’s game. I liked the final table challenge. Found that to be very useful. I have to look into the ICM on some of the spots. Also thought the pro challenge’s were pretty good. I follow Jonathan Little and took his challenge. I like the video that you can run after the challenge. I feel that I can learn better using that format than watching a video.

Would love to hear what some of the other pros on this site think.
