Awesome vid, I’ve been at the final table of the frenzy on 888 quite a few times. It’s a great tournament to have in one’s MTT scedule, and I make a lot of deep runs in it, since it’s so soft. Great to see a TPE pro’s approach in it though! As someone who has suffered from a big downswing and having to move from midstakes back to low stakes back to micros, this series is excellent. Thanks Cougars!
Lot of great information in here for playing at these stakes. There were three spots I found really informative: the two spots where you raised pre, got flatted, and proceeded to block a possible stop and go by shoving all in all the flop vs. stacks with a pot-sized bet behind (definitely going to work that into my game), and the spot where you raised with the nut flush draw on the flop and announced your plan to shove all in on any turn. Formulating a plan for upcoming streets isn’t a skill a lot of players at these buyin levels have, and it’s something pros tend to take for granted in their vids and not bothering articulating. I think this is the best overall micro/low series on the site; you really provide the knowledge for micro/low regs to become more competitive and understand how to cope with some of the plays and players one runs into at these stakes. TY, sir, and I hope there are more forthcoming.
and btw I’ll repeat what I wrote on another installment in this series: If you’re going to vote this video down, please explain why. Inherent hatred for micro/low vids is a stupid reason to vote this down. U MAD BRO? Plenty of TPE members play at these stakes and can benefit from the well-presented content. Haters gonna hate, but I hope the hate doesn’t prevent great low stakes content like this from being made.
Watched this video and switched over to more min raising. Won my first tournament the next day! Great info. I’m certain this video was a big part of my win.
