Hey Cory – regarding the one hand where you have J3o on button and villain has 9Ts in BB and you raise and he flats, then flop is 3TJ. He open jams. You seemed to get on him pretty bad but didn’t you do a similar move with the 82h? You flopped mid pair, out of position, and open jammed basically the pot sized bet. I was surprised when I saw that given he flatted your 3bet preflop, which to me repped a legitimate hand for him. The only significant difference in the hands is that you 3bet with the 82 where as the villain in hand number two, just flats your raise from button. So is your open jam with the 82 (after hitting mid pair) a much better play than his open jam with T9 (also after hitting mid pair) only because you 3bet preflop repping stronger hand which warrants open jam? Or what am I missing? They seem like very similar situations.
Thanks for the vids – really great, and looking forward to more.

wow sorry for such a late reply bud, I am just now seeing this comment…every situation is unique so it’s hard for me to say which is the “better” play. I play in flow and in the moment and not a theory guy at all. I do what I think I can get away with and/or what I think will work in that spot according to my the current dynamic I have with that specific player, my current image, chip stack and stage of the tournament. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again….I don’t view poker as a card game but rather a people game, that uses cards.
