Well, we got off to a fast start with the house racking up 5 cashes in as many days, including a FT for Danny and a 14th place finish for myself. Bigdog and 2 cashes and Marc had one as well. Confidence was high and everyone felt they were playing really really well. Variance has… Read more »

We had some "technical difficulties" with internet and what not the first couple of days but everything seems to be solid now. The house is really nice, and it's great having a pool… Read more »

Hey what’s up TPE! It’s your favourite Newfie legend DannyN13 here. I recently applied for PokerStars Team Online and one of the requirements was to have an active blog. I used to use the pocketfives blog a while ago but that didn’t last very long. I think it is a good to have going because… Read more »

This summer's WSOP is just around the corner and I am knee deep in preparations for what is sure to be an epic summer in Vegas. I've put together what I think is a pretty good schedule of tournaments for myself. Obviously as a midstakes grinder, it's tough to play a full series of… Read more »

I've recovered from my trip to Atlantic City for the World Series of Poker Circuit Event at Caesars. Had an amazing time hanging with the crew up there! Several of us made nice runs and cashes in tournaments, which was great to see. And, of course, it was a blast railing those guys. While… Read more »

I have a cash game problem. To be more specific, I don't like playing cash. Therefore, I play bad. I've mentioned before that I play pretty much weekly in a local underground cash game. It's a 1/3 game and is super soft with a few regulars who make money and then a bunch of… Read more »

So Friday night was my first real solid tourney session in a while. I played 6 or 7 tourneys and ended up cashing two of them, one of them a decent run to a final two table. I was thinking to myself yesterday if this was a successful session or not. As I spent time… Read more »

Ok, so Black Friday sucked for everyone who loves poker. From the inconvenience of not being able to play poker in the US on a mainstream and large site, to those of us who have our money held in limbo on Full Tilt and Cereus – it's bad all around. Obviously, I can't wait for… Read more »

The EV is posititive because I qualified in a $60 satellite earlier this month. The location is the aforementioned Seminole Casino in Brighton,FL, on Lake Ockechobee. My main event happens on Christmas Day when the field is divided into two shifts and then combined into a third final table, AM, PM and late PM, the… Read more »

Long ago, I heard this old codger say during a live tourney that he would only play aces it they were suited. Liked this so well that we adopted the name when available. Decided to get back to live play and went to Brighton, FL, Gator Country nearly on Lake Ockechobee. Was so nervous, couldn’t… Read more »
