one mention that u guys don’t bring up is casey’s metagame which would probably be good for beginner tpe members to know..when you were flatting the 3b w JhQh oop, and especially when you open raise the 7c8c with short stack in the bb and get exposed..these types of plays payoff wonderfully in the metagame aspect of poker. thinking players will start 3betting you lighter, inexperienced player perceive you as donkish… so in my mind these types of plays are key to getting paid off when you do get your eventual monster hands. Very important in winning poker tourneys. so being exposed is a great thing a lot of the times, as long as one always remains aware of there table image.:D gg good vid..

you really think a player like bigdog who opens really wide and bets a lot of flops with air wants to get 3 bet light/floated all the time? I disagree. Especially in lower/mid stakes… you’re gonna get action on your monsters when your opponents have monsters/solid hands.

no no I understand. what you don’t understand is that 90% of players out there don’t think and only care about the two cards they have. table image is over rated.

“How many BB’s is that Casey”
    “I think it’s about 80.”

And all you hear is Marc pushing buttons on his calculator. It is nice to know that I’m not the only one who uses a calculator. LoL!!!

    Great vid guys!

I think the min-open and fold to shove less than 10bb should be discussed a bit more in detail. The QT call @25:31 against 8BB is very close. I ran it through pokerstove:

Your getting 39% pot odds. So his range has to be this wide to make it break even EV:

    22+,A2s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,T9s,A5o+,KTo+,QTo+,JTo (plus one randon 65s)

If it’s any tighter than that it’s a minus EV call and I think his range here is just a bit tighter. It’s so close tho and I think that your stack size is kinda crippled if you loose (21BB). But a call shows that you won’t bet fold to those stacks, but the problem I have with is it’s a soft table.

Anyway, you seemed very certain that it’s a call, I think it’s worthy of a discussion. I think it’s kinda a discussion if the value of having 41bb at a soft table is bigger than the disadvantage of having 21bb at a soft table, and if it’s more valueable to just fold and continue at the 27bb stack.

Anyway, by putting the situation out there like that I think i agree that it’s a call, it’s more advantage to have 41bb at this table than it’s a disadvantage to have 21BB compared to 27bb. But it’s a close one.
