@30min with AQo
maybe its just me, but that shove weights a weaker range than if he had 3bet/called (spec given the fact we have been reshoving at the table) I think a lot of his range are hands he doesn’t want to fold but doesn’t want to induce with, ie 77-JJ A10s AJo and a discounted AK QQ+ (discounted due to blockers and likelihood of being 3bet/called by these hands)
@32.44 AQs – you say there’s no way you’re folding, is this just versus the 42BB to your left (BTN) and the 26BB stack (SB) or the 78BB stack in the BB too? I can understand getting it in versus the 26BB stack in the SB given your relative positions, but having just said that you have a comfortable stack with the AQo vs ATs hand, why would you want to risk it versus the 42BB and/or 78BB stack too? Granted their range should be wider than the BB who 3b jammed your UTG open with ATs, but for all the chips to go in versus the two bigger stacks you’d have to 4b and call a 5b (ormore) and I wonder how wide they would 5b in that spot to make AQs profitable, not to mention an unnecessary spot where we have to rely on being ahead or getting lucky?
we’re pretty readless on the opponent with only 11 hands total, so theres no way to know for sure. looking at it now i guess you could probably say his huge hands like QQ+, AKs are capped out of his range. if you can say with significant confidence that his range is capped like this, something like [JJ-55, AQs-ATs, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, ATo+, KJo+} you show up as 56% against his range, getting 1.3:1 (a sizeable profit).
again, this relies on knowing this range is capped, which im not for sure on just yet. food for thought
check your math here. you got it mostly right but the bb is 6.4k so the stacks remaining are: BTN 57bb; SB 25.5bb; BB 77bb.
i dont think i meant to indicate id get it in pre against all these stacks, but given the table flow and the position of the remaining players given our holdings, i didnt intend on folding preflop in most realistic scenarios. but i didnt mean to insinuate that i would 4b/call AQdd for sure in that scenario.
My comment of “I’m never folding here” was based on the able dynamics I had observed and the relative positions of the players. What I meant here is that I am calling 3bts and playing the hand in position knowing I most likely have the best hand. Depending on which player 3bets I may 4bet induce.
min 50 ,i dont understand why u say we only call turn: 9 a or 8 maybe…if im floating that flop,im callin any heart,4 or 5 too [thats if he fires on those cards,usually they dont] but im leading river and usually should work so,,?
Hey Chris, can i ask u about the 42min hand between The claimer and the crazy agg dude. I know u said the river bluff shove is bad because if he calls turn then he likely calls river.
It looks like The claimer bet small on the turn to set up a healthy sized river shove to maybe increase his fold equity but the turn and river seem like a huge spew with 2 tables left of a big sunday tournament.
It seems like he was bluffing with his pair of eights but if he was bluffing then what worst hands could he realistically make fold? Trying to make TT or QQ+ fold against the crazy agg dude seems almost impossible.
Dunno really, maybe he just spazzed as we all do from time to time.

or is this all negated by our position?

At 16 minutes do we always have to go with our 88s or we can ever fold?
