Not really a great start to the series Daryl. You start off by complaining a lot and getting carried away by everything instead of talking about strategy, the tables are tiny so we can’t really see stacks, you sound unenthusiastic, you didn’t seem prepared (setting up PT and trying to get tables going) and pretty unhappy to have to make a video on lower limits in general. I hope you can redeem yourself in later parts, because I didn’t really learn that much in this. Another thing: Please speak more clearly in future videos, as I have trouble understanding what you are trying to say at times. Hope you can improve on some of my critisism 🙂
ok, you said not to hold back so im going to be honest. This videos was like watching paint dry. Only thing i really got from this is how much you hate the site. please try to work harder on the next one so we all can enjoy, best of luck
I think the above comments are a bit harsh. yeah a little unorganised but going on the content you have given us in the previous series you have done im sure once daryl is setup it will 1st class as always. really love your stuff mate.
Appreciate the feedback. I think most of what you said was pretty accurate. I wouldn’t say that I didnt want to shoot lower limits just that maybe i was uncomfortable doing them. I need to get better at doing micro vids and making vids while 4 tabling. Does everyone agree that the amount of complaining was detrimental to the quality of the video?
havent even watched this yet, but i must say. i wouldnt criticize a guy who has made millions online. never. DJ your sick, and if this video sucks, im sure i’ll find a way to take something from it!
I agree with the others that you didnt seem too pumped to do a series on lower buy ins but I have watched parts 2 & 3 and there is definately more strategy commentary. On the other hand, I agree with Riverman, your commentary and note taking are pure comedy and I think make up for the lack of strategy talk. I’d watch your videos for that reason alone!
Hey Daryl, definately not your best vid but you have set high standards. Really didn’t mind the complaining at the start, i laughed a lot. I would certainly try and keep the humour in the next series.
Daryl! Getting a tone a stick here but wanted to say that I learnt alot from this video. These situations where you get donks lead min betting and a tone of limpers pre are the exact spots that a lot of micro players find themselves in. I can now see how to handle these situations with confidence in the future. Looking forward to watching part 2 now…
sorry doods but there is ALWAYS something to take way from guys that are obv very advanced….. even if its one small thing during the course of a video. and what makes Daryl so good is that he takes criticism well while constantly trying to improve. so im sure the next parts will be much better.
I’m just going to jump in here and say that while all the criticism is warranted – this video is obviously not Daryl’s or TPE’s best work – Daryl has been very contrite and receptive to the feedback and genuinely wants to improve. Both publicly and behind the scenes.
We have a lot of confidence in him, his last few series are some of our highest ranked videos in our entire collection. So while this one didn’t go as well, we know he can make great videos and he’s been absolutely a stand-up guy during the criticism. We know he will make great videos in the future and expect him to take all this feedback in mind.
Thanks to the TPE community for letting us know what you like and don’t like – we will learn from it and continually improve the product. One thing we can see here, is that you guys care enough to let us know!

I have to agree with the above posts. Haven’t learned anything so far 🙁

maybe you should get something going that you can show strategy before you start video in the future.
