Hey Mike, gr8 vid!
What do you think about 3bet shoving KTo (44th minute)? Is 27bbs here too much to shove? For me it would be close decision and you folded pretty quickly, is it possible to shove here if he was very active?
Hey Martin, I checked out the hand in question; I think 27bb’s is too much to shove with 2 players behind as well. I would have picked up 17% of my stack with a successful 3bet shove so it is close but I would most often wait for a better spot than that. The fact that is was a turbo makes it even closer of course as you don’t have as much time to wait for good spots, but I also don’t expect the opener to be raising as wide in a turbo with everyone shallow and having shove stacks behind.
Hi Mike, excellent series. at 49:00 you are dealt 5d4d, and with an open from a 35bb stack and a flat from a 50bb stack, you decide to fold from the BB. Wouldn’t you just put in the 200 chips when your stack is so huge to try to flop the world and get value from a hand they’ll never put in your range?
Hi Mike, at the 2300 min mark when you make the nuts with a10 I was wondering about your river bet. You have the nuts and there is 7k in the pot and he has 4k behind. You bet pot to put him all in and he folds. I tend to think you overbet that river. I know that it is a standard size for the pot, but he can only call that bet with a set and maybe with 2 pair. In most cases he will have kx or qx and would never call off his stack with that. While he was a spaz, he was mostly spazzy preflop and seemed to protect his chips after the flop. I think if you bet 2k or so he might find a call. When he folds you win no chips and if you can bet smaller and get a call, you obv get more chips. What are your thoughts?

Great video. I learnt a lot about poker and “san of a beach” qualifies as the worlds best insult.

when they started ragging on the fish just tell them not to tap on the glass. Most won’t understand anyway.
