Okay so first things first, I was going to do this yesterday, but I am in the process of packing up to move in the next couple of weeks so I got tied up there, my apologies. But here it is, post #100! As promised since we looked back in #99, we are going to look forward in #100. So what is in store for the Gman this year. Well, first as I said in the last post I think that my game has come a long way. The time I have spent with coaches and friends and the amount of discussion I have had has really helped grow my mind and I am finding that I am seeing the game a lot clearer now. Along those lines I have started to work on diversifying my game. I particulary took a liking to PLO and have been playing it extensively, as the fields are substantially softer than NLHE and it is a lot of fun to mix things up. So my grand plan for this year, well it is two fold. First I am going to continue on Merge and work on grown and developing my BR there. I am not going to pursue it as anything more than a continue training location, as I find that you need a place to play for real to practice correctly and I like it very much for that. I am planning on sticking around TPE for as long as they'll have me as the knowledge and content is still top notch, regardless of the hiccup's in the past few months. The work that has been put in to the site and the community here is still the best I have found and the knowledge I gain is invaluable to me. The Second piece of the plan is I am going to start tackling live poker. I have been playing more live cash, getting comfortable and improving my observation, patience and overall understanding of the differences. I think that I am settling in relatively nicely and I am looking forward to hitting the felt pretty hard this year. So what does the schedule looks like and where can you find me this year? Well here is the plan as of right now (subject to change as my wife see's fit 🙂 )

1. Late September: I will be in Las Vegas so I am planning on hitting up some of the daily casino tourneys, most likely the Aria.

2. October: WPT @ Foxwoods. I will be playing in a couple of the smaller events and may take a shot at a 10k satty.

3. December: WSOP-C Harrah's Atlantic City. Can't wait to see the TPE gang again at this one. Looking forward to the new buyin structure and thinking about possibly a Main Event shot, but certainly playing for a couple of rings.

4. March WSOP-C Caesar's Atlantic City: Same as above, certainly want some hardware and going to try like hell to get it.

5. April/May: WSOP-C Harrah's Chester: This one is two fold, cheap excuse to stop by and bug Wein and try for some hardware

6. June: Las Vegas: Venetian Deep Stack Series: Going to take a pass on the WSOP this time, but I want to be out there for the gradeur of it all. Looking forward to a couple of Venetian tourneys and hanging with more of the TPE crowd. Hopefully another boot camp will be happening because I will certainly be attending that one (may even be the first guy to sign up 🙂 ).

So there it is. This year I'm taking a big step forward and am going to attempt to capitalize on the last year. I know there is a lot of variance live and it can be difficult and expensive, but as with anything in life experience costs you and there is only one way to get it. I am certainly very excited about the prospect though and along with playing I have made sure that there are plenty of opportunities to meet up with folks and spend some quality time with all of the friends I have made here and hopefully make some new ones. Oh I can't forget that watching the WSOP November Nine will be high on my list and I am hoping that ESPN is going to do something similar with the WSOP-E Main Event. I think with the new formula they are using to cover events there is so much more to learn for active players. Okay, so post 100 is over. The new year looks like it is going to be exciting. This is going to be a big year and I can't wait to see what develops. This is the Gman signing out for now!
