Nice video. One quenstion. at the 39:45 mark, utg with 99, peanut elected to open instead of open shoving as he was doing the rest of his range. Is this the correct play utg with 17bb?

Around the 34 minute mark with ace king you say you would c bet the flop. If the villain shoves on us do we call? He could have draws, pairs and the occasional bluff in his range and we would have some equity. If we aren’t calling wouldn’t checking it down be superior?

@ Hand 295, I think folding the AQss here to the btn 3b is (coming from the btn from a super deep stack who is probably just trying to put pressure on our smaller stack) a mistake. People are opening up their 3b range as deep as he is especially from the btn

You have to cbet this flop 100%, whether you are calling off his c/r jam is really player dependent. If he is the type of player who has been c/r a fair amt I’d prob call off with the straight and flush possibilities. If he is a random and I have not seen him c/r a fold is fine because we are frequently drawing to 6 outs.

Absolutely, he wants someone to 3b jam/raise us with less and it would be a mistake open jamming as we are folding out a lot of worse hands that may stuff on us. I would not be min opening w 99 here however, I would probably make it ~2.2x so that you get flatted a little bit less than when you min open w our stack as it sucks when broadways hit the board. Open jamming is a big mistake here as you are missing a ton of value when lower PPs jam and Ax’s get out of line

@ Hand 362, You say that you like the open jam with QQ & 15 BBs here. In the $8r I actually prefer a raise call here, in say the $100r or higher/mid stakes I definitely prefer the open jam. People get out of line in these lower stakes 3bing hands they have no business doing so because they think they can get folds. Generally they have no merit to their jams except they haz an Ace and we have been tight-ish etc. We really do not need to be balancing against these players, there is so much room to exploit as they do not adjust properly to others play as we can theirs. Open jamming here for balance for those reasons seems to be -(c)EV imo
