I have been guided to a whole new world. I have seen the 90 KO SnG on FT and I am happy. I started as a SnG player and I had pretty much abandoned the genre in the middle of 2010 due to extreme frustration, but to be fair it was all single table stuff back then. I have been looking at my schedule and what I play a lot of late and noticed that I am playing almost all large field MTTs so I think I need to balance out things a little with something that I can finish better in and balance my overall results with. Don't get me wrong, I am not changing my normal schedule, just adding a little more spice. So following some of the regs suggestions I have started jumping into the turbo 90 man KO's on FTP and I gotta say, kind of liking them a lot. They aren't terribly hard to play and the 3k starting stack is nice as it affords some more time before you need to start going nuts.
As for yesterdays play, things went pretty well. I bossed a 50c rebuy on AP and took it down for $96, so the ROI on that one was pretty sweet. Managed a 38th place finish in the 42k on FTP which wasn't a bad score either, but more importantly gave me some confidence that I can hang tough in the mid stakes stuff and I can certainly duplicate my micro/low results there. Well short update today as I am playing a few SnGs to pass the time and then saying goodbye to my in-laws as they fly out. I'll be back tomorrow with more for sure. This is the Gman signing out! May all your flushes be royal!
