Another week down and time to review and think about the prior week, hoping I have advanced my play in some aspect. This week, I am fearing advancement was not the outcome. I find it incredibly hard to deal with my own general stupidity when it comes to my play. The problem stems from being able to admit what plays were good and what plays were bad, and really being honest with yourself about what was unlucky and what was bad. Well, this week was the Mini FTOPs Main Event and my first Sunday Million and I have to say, I don't think luck was against me this week. Understanding and digesting what was bad, and more importantly understanding how to fix the problems are the highest agenda items for the week. Stay tuned to the rest of the week and hopefully we can talk through the leaks and how to fix them (and my progress).
I am turning my attention to mid January and am now in process to prepare for the UBOC 6 (and more importantly the mini UBOC). I think it is critically important for players to set goals and put things on the horizon to work to achieve, otherwise I believe you will stagnate. Stagnation is this world is akin to death. You snooze, you lose and the game passes you by. So my new goal is nailing a Mini-UBOC event. My BR is healthly on AP and my play there strong. The fields are soft in general and the prospect of big prizes always bring more out of the woodwork, so this is an incredibly promising situation. As I am fond of saying, all you can do in poker is put yourself in good situations and the rest will take care of itself. UBOC looks like it will be a very good situation, and I fully intend on capitalizing. Well back to work, and I will see the TPE Nation at the tables this evening. This is the Gman signing out. May all your flushes be royal!
