Well it is now Wednesday and I still feel like crap. This head cold is absolutely killing me. I can't breathe and my head is throbbing, kinda makes it hard to concentrate so I haven't been at the tables for a couple of days. I did however spend some time getting some 1-1 coaching last night doing a live sweat. This weeks goal was looking at board textures and understanding ranges and reading action to help narrow ranges. I learned a couple of neat tricks and picked up a couple of interesting thoughts that I think will allow me to be more dynamic as a player which I am looking forward to trying out. The biggest thing that I observed and noticed about my game is there are a lot of situations with big hands where I don't get action because my moves betray the strength of my hand to opponents. What do I mean by that, mostly that I get excited when I get AA or KK and if someone raises UTG and I am in MP I 3bet them. No one 3bets an EP raiser unless you have a very powerful hand. In those situtions though if you had a smaller PP or a suited connector/suited broadway you would flat, take a flop and see work from there. Moral of the story keeping actions consistent can result in bigger payoffs with big hands.

The other really interesting thing that I picked up was using the turn as a tool to define what is going on and where you are at. In general most micro players don't lie on the turn, if they hammer there they typically have it. So I need to spend some more time understanding what turn cards are usable by me to steal pots (or bluff at pots) and what is dangerous to me. More to come on this one as I start learning more on it and develop that aspect of my game.

Well I am headed back to feeling like crap, I hope this passes by Sunday as I am really looking forward to TPE Day and the Mini-FTOPs Main Event! Gl to all, this is the Gman signing out. May all your flushes be Royal!
