Nice Wein. Question about the 77 hand. You raise 150 and the button 3 bets to 400. You mention not wanting to jam and that it’s just a fold but can’t u flat here? Cost 250 more with 625 already in the pot. If you spike your 7 you could stack him. Maybe he has overs and checks back the flop when he misses. What do you think?

Good Vid Wein. Question re the last 99 hand. How strong do you need to be to play it? TT, JJ?? Would you shove with JJ and hope Operga doesn’t wake up with a hand or just call the 20k and evaluate after Operga’s action?? Tks, Kev.

Really good vid Wein!! I really enjoyed getting your insight on some of the tough decisions that we all face, and the factors that you take into consideration before acting.Thx!!

I appreciate the video and your thoughts, but I must agree with previous post about flatting the pocket 7 hand.It cost you 5% of your stack to set mine in that spot and I think you can stack him when you flop a set.I don’t think I am ever supposed to fold there…correct me if I’m wrong but set mining is a way to win big pots and build bully stacks in mtts…seems like the price is right…is this flawed thinking on my part?
Wein
It is 8% of his stack. Getting 12.5:1 implied to set mine just isn’t profitable. His stack is more important than ours since we have him covered.

i see…thank you for responding, that makes total sense,I stand corrected. Where would his stack have to be, or the implied odds be at,to make set mining the profitable play?
mezzamorta
Thanks Wein…watching HITHEPANDA’s video on small pairs and he opens up with statement that you need 18:1, maybe even 20:1 to profitably set mine…that answers my question and I thank you for helping me see the entire picture on this subject…you guys are doin great….keep up the theory videos….

I like the video overall — good tips on what you should be thinking about in these spots. But please prepare better in future theory vids or edit out the rough spots. We’re paying with our time and money, and I don’t like having to sit through the confusion about what tourney a hand was in or why it was included.

12:08 you 4bet jam 55s into an aggressive opponent with 8% 3bet range, but 55s is around 40% equity against his range, we’re flipping at best, thoughts?
