That last hand, it’s one of the concepts I have struggled with since you last looked at my play. IIRC the way you put it then was that by checking there, presumably I am going to pay villain off if he bets, so I’m therefore allowing him to check down a marginal or worse hand, but paying him off when he beats us. How about a delayed cb there on flop/river?

Sorry to hear that, Rice. But yes, this is a good example of that concept. Are you suggesting bet flop, check turn, bet river? I don’t think that’s superior to just betting all three streets. When OOP, it’s often correct to make more thin value bets, because the alternative of checking is less appealing than when IP.
