hey jace, great series, I have a few questions for you 🙂
1st hand,if we’re opening 20% of hands we can fold everything apart from the top 40%. I don’t understand how u got 40% since we’re only opening 20%? also you said we have to play back with an 8% range, may i ask how you figured that out?
regarding the AJo hand, your sizing is really small i actually like it but why so small? (not saying that’s a bad thing btw) it’s just that against that opponent he’s likely to call a 3-bet so i think for that reason your sizing should be bigger with your value/bluffing range. I’d make it around 45-48k imo.
aaaaaaaaa
Ok the 40% is based on making sure we are playing back enough to not let him auto profit on a 3bet. So I did the math in the spot and it showed that folding more than 60% of the time lets him auto profit. So that means if we are raising a range of say A5s+, Any suited broadway, Most off suit broadways 55+ ( about the best 20% of hands) we need to pick the best 40% of hands out of that range to play back vs his 3bet with. So we are raising 20% of hands and only playing the best 40% of those thats 20% * 40% or .2*.4 =. 08%

That makes more sense to me now , Thanks Daryl , much appreciated 😉
