Hey Marc! Good series, just some stuff:
you are risking 31.25bb to win 7,7bb with 88 when guys behind you wake up with a hand, so I don´t think it is necessary. They will have tt+, aqs+,ako+ around 10%( of the time and will most likely be getting it in.

So if co is shoving around 36% then vs that range we will have 57.26% equity which means on average we will win a pot of 0,5726×20260=11600 chips which means we are making around (11600-9230=2370) 2370/1200 close to 2bb. 10% of the time tho we have 26,42% equity vs tt+,aqs+ and the shovers 36% range, and we will be getting 23040 back from the pot which means we lose 38689-23040=15649 chips which translates into roughly 13bb.

So if we get in this spot 10 times, 9 times we win 2bb and 1 time we lose 13bb which means a net gain of 18-13=5bb which is OK, but I think just flatting and re-evaluating the situation will be much more +chipev in the long run. Keep it up.

    Hey MadBaltic,
You make some great points but i think you are missing the point in why we should always be shoving 88 in this exact spot. We get to fold out a ton of flips and occasionally better when we shove. If we flat, there are a ton of combinations of broad way hands that will reshove that would have folded to our initial shove. This situation changes if position and stack sizes are different. This exact spot, is the perfect spot for us to iso the shover with the Sb amd BB having roughly 30bbs. I have no problem getting in 88 for 30bbs if that is the worst case scenario. Flatting and calling off is out of the ? as I would be inviting unnecessary flips. As you know, i am one who prides myself in bashing my own play. Having said that, i would be lying to the Nation if I didnt say the only play in this exact spot is too shove. Also, i know the villain in the SB is super agg and has a massive BONER for me so the only hands i would be flatting would be like QQ,KK, and AA. I probably only flat BIG like 15-20% in this exact spot.
    thanks for the reply

another note: original shover probably has a range closer to 45% fwiw

Sick vid series, joined TPE a few weeks ago and your vids were referred to me a few days ago. Very happy with what i’ve seen so far, with this being my first series of yours to watch. Hopefully competing against you deep in some tourneys soon. Keep up the good work with the vids.

Although you have been a consistent winning pro for a couple of years now, you still manage to relate and come across really well to us casual players. Good job Marc

    Hello Marc!
The Hand 77 (24’00) in SB, isn’t a good situation for 3-bet? Because we do not have great odds for setmine, and we play out of position and without initiative. With a 3-bet it is almost limited to shove or fold.
And besides that we have a very aggressive player in BB can squezze

I think 3 bet is fine, but we are def not set mining here when we flat. There are plenty of boards where 77 is going to be the best hand and i have plenty of chips to maneuver. I pass on a 3 bet cause I think it would be a shame to have to 3 bet fold 77 (basically turning it into a bluff) 6 handed at a ft when i am very confident in my postflop ability. I def dont think he is shoving or folding, as we are 40bigs eff and i see many flats here on the US sites. I would rather turn my blocker type hands (ax, kx suited) into bluffs and 3 bet on the big side and still flat my mid pairs and broad way type hands.
    Great ? my dude
